Handmade Bonsai Pot by Bigei
This refined rectangular bonsai pot was made in Tokoname, Japan by Bigei, a respected name among Tokoname potters. I selected this piece during my November 2025 buying trip to Japan, where we had the opportunity to visit kilns, build relationships, and hand-pick pots directly from what was available on site.
This pot has a clean, elegant profile with a softly flared rim, recessed side panels, and subtle curved feet. The unglazed reddish-brown clay gives it a classic Tokoname look, while the balanced proportions make it a versatile choice for a wide range of bonsai styles.
