Overhanging Cliff Suiseki Stone
This unusual Indonesian Suiseki stone has a bold, horizontal formation resembling a rugged cliff projecting over an open landscape. The extended upper section creates a dramatic silhouette, while the heavier base provides a strong visual balance. It was collected from the Ombilin River in the Sijunjung area of West Sumatra.
The dark gray stone features a beautifully weathered surface with natural-looking pockets, crevices, and subtle variations in texture. It's one of those pieces that becomes more interesting the longer you study it.
The stone is paired with a custom handmade black mahogany daiza, made by Indonesian craftsman Hendra, fitted to its irregular base and providing an attractive contrast to the stone.
Highlights:
- Dramatic overhanging cliff formation
- Strong horizontal movement and unusual proportions
- Dark gray surface with rugged natural character
- Custom handmade black mahogany daiza
Size: 4.5" tall from the table, including the daiza, on a 7" wide by 3.25" deep base
The carved display table in one photo is not included.

We ship thousands of bonsai trees and supplies each year, and every order is packed with care by our team. Live trees are watered, secured, and packaged to help them arrive safely and ready for their new home.
Live bonsai trees generally ship early in the week, Monday and Tuesday, to reduce time in transit. Tools, pots, soil, fertilizer, and other non-living items usually ship throughout the week.
Bonsai Outlet is a licensed nursery, not just a warehouse. We follow the proper inspection and certification requirements for shipping live plants across state lines. When a state requires additional documentation, such as a nematode certificate or nursery inspection certificate, we work to ensure the proper requirements are met before shipping.
