This is a wonderful starting point for anyone who wants to create a deciduous forest bonsai without starting from loose seedlings. Multiple Korean Hornbeam trees have already been planted together in an oval training pot, giving you the structure and foundation for a future grove-style bonsai.
Korean Hornbeam is one of the most respected deciduous species for bonsai. It is loved for its small serrated leaves, fine branching potential, attractive bark as it matures, and beautiful seasonal changes. With time and thoughtful development, this planting can become a refined forest with depth, movement, and a very natural woodland feel.
Right now, this is being offered as pre-bonsai. The trees are healthy, vigorous, and actively growing, but the forest is still in the development stage. The next owner can continue growing it in the current training pot, refine the trunk placement and canopy over time, or move it into a ceramic bonsai pot next spring to create a more finished forest presentation.
If you enjoy deciduous bonsai, this is the kind of material that is fun to grow and rewarding to develop. The basic forest composition is already started, and Korean Hornbeam gives you a beautiful species to work with for years to come.

Shipping Bonsai Trees:
Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.
Important Guidelines:
** We cannot ship to a FPO, APO, P.O. Box or to locations in Alaska, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii or anywhere internationally.
** All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.
** If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit. That said, we reserve the right to hold the tree(s) to guarantee a healthy delivery. We will Hold Your Tree Until It is Safe to Ship.
