A professional-looking, resealable stand-up pouch of Bonsai Thrive 180, a time-release fertilizer specifically formulated for the specialized needs of bonsai trees.

The packaging design is split vertically. The left side has a clean, textured white background featuring the product name "BONSAI THRIVE 180" in bold, black lettering beneath an orange circular logo of a stylized crane. Below the product name, several key horticultural benefits are listed: "Long-Lasting Nutrient Supply," "Low Risk of Over-Fertilization," "NPK 19-5-9 in Every Granule," and "Improved Root Development."

The right side of the bag is a deep forest green adorned with delicate, light-green line-art illustrations of leaves and branches. A large, clear, crescent-shaped window on this side reveals the actual fertilizer inside: small, uniform, spherical granules in shades of deep indigo and light blue.

At the bottom of the pouch are icons for "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" and a green checkmark indicating the product is "Ready to Use." The weight is listed as Net Wt. 10 oz (280 g). The overall image conveys a high-quality, specialized maintenance product for bonsai enthusiasts.

A Little Tree with the Soul of an Orchard

There is something especially charming about a bonsai that can do more than simply look beautiful. This Mulberry brings the character of a mature fruit tree down to a size you can enjoy on a bench, patio or bonsai stand.

Its upright trunk divides into an abundance of fine branches, creating the full, rounded canopy you would expect to find on a much larger tree. The lively green foliage gives it an immediate presence, while the open branching beneath the leaves offers plenty of opportunity for thoughtful pruning and continued refinement.

Mulberries are fascinating bonsai subjects because they are vigorous, responsive to pruning and capable of developing increasingly interesting bark and branch structure with age. They may also produce mulberries when mature and grown under suitable conditions. Fruit production varies based on the individual tree, growing conditions, pruning, pollination and seasonal timing, so it cannot be guaranteed. Still, the possibility of seeing fruit hanging from a bonsai-sized tree is part of what makes this species so much fun to own.

The cream-colored glazed Yixing ceramic pot is a beautiful choice for this tree. Its softly sculpted rim and understated color allow the green foliage to stand out while giving the entire composition a clean, finished appearance.

This is the exact Mulberry bonsai shown in the photographs. It is not a representative example, and the buyer will receive this individual tree and its pictured ceramic pot.

Shipping Confidence

This tree ships from our Massachusetts nursery and will be carefully packed to protect its trunk, branches, roots, soil and glazed ceramic pot during transit.

Please expect some foliage loss during shipping. Mulberries can shed leaves after being boxed, transported and moved into a different environment. The tree may arrive with fewer leaves than shown in the photographs, and additional foliage may fall while it adjusts.

Please Note

All trees are sold as-is. All sales are final. No refunds, returns or exchanges. Once the tree leaves our nursery, its care is your responsibility. Have questions? Just reach out. We’re happy to help.

We ship thousands of bonsai trees and supplies each year, and every order is packed with care by our team. Live trees are watered, secured, and packaged to help them arrive safely and ready for their new home.

Live bonsai trees generally ship early in the week, Monday and Tuesday, to reduce time in transit. Tools, pots, soil, fertilizer, and other non-living items usually ship throughout the week.

Bonsai Outlet is a licensed nursery, not just a warehouse. We follow the proper inspection and certification requirements for shipping live plants across state lines. When a state requires additional documentation, such as a nematode certificate or nursery inspection certificate, we work to ensure the proper requirements are met before shipping.
